Giving orphans a fighting chance

The Karuna Project aims to serve children who have had the misfortune of being orphaned. Our program provides support by giving resources that build self-esteem and self-empowerment, positive emotional outlet, and education through a combination of martial arts training with innovative physical activity and relevant vocational training.

Mission

The Karuna Project aims to serve children who have had the misfortune of being orphaned. Our program provides support by giving resources that build self-esteem and self-empowerment, positive emotional outlet, and education through a combination of martial arts training with innovative physical activity and relevant vocational training. We are devoted to leaving lasting implements that will influence the kids to be self-sufficient rather than just leaving short term comforts and diversions. Our goal is to offer orphans the resources and guidance necessary to positively impact their own journey beyond the orphanage.

Goals

Goals will be presented and updated at regular intervals. The listed goals below are the projects we wish to have complete by the end of May 2018

01.

Complete a fitness and martial arts training center at the Lang Hy Vong Orphanage in Da Nang. This construction trip will also include an upgrade of their now defunct computer classroom.

02.

Deliver Physical therapy equipment and adaptive sports options to the Thien Phuoc Orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City. This will also include the Computer Tablets requested for the orphans loaded with educational apps

03.

Fundraise and plan for building a fitness and martial arts training center at the Sam Sung Orphanage in Jeonju Korea

04.

Produce educational and motivational instructional training videos; translated and available to the general public online to explain training methods.
